3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). Chat messages are associated with chat sessions and may be retained for moderation purposes.
4. Anonymous Profiles
Your anonymous profile (name, emoji, bio, interests) is visible to other users in the same lobby. Your real identity is not shared unless you choose to reveal it.
5. Identity Reveal
If you choose to reveal your identity or share social handles after a chat, this information is shared directly with your chat partner. This action is voluntary and irreversible for that session.
6. Analytics
We use anonymous analytics to understand how the app is used. This data does not include personal information and cannot be used to identify individual users.
7. Third-Party Services
Firebase Authentication: Handles sign-in securely
Firebase Realtime Database: Stores profiles, chats, and lobby data
Google Analytics: Anonymous usage metrics
8. Data Retention
Chat messages may be retained for a limited period for moderation. Anonymous profiles are stored as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
